John Fiorella's vision of the Batman universe is an amalgam of different sources, including "The Dark Knight Returns", "The Killing Joke" and even the 60's Television Show and Superfriends. We wanted to reach a very broad audience, and at the time we made this film, Nightwing was not as well-known to the public.
