Maria Bartiromo is an American financial journalist, television anchor, and author who became one of the most recognizable figures in business news. She began her career at CNN Business News in 1988, working as a producer, writer, and assignment editor. In 1993, she joined CNBC, where she gained national attention for reporting live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Bartiromo was the first television journalist to provide daily live reports from the exchange, earning her the nickname “The Money Honey.” 

She also hosted programs such as Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo and On the Money with Maria Bartiromo. Bartiromo’s career was significant because she helped make financial news more accessible to a broad television audience, especially at a time when women were less common in high-profile business journalism roles. She received multiple honors, including two Emmy Awards, and later joined Fox Business and Fox News in 2014.
